Passing this exam concludes the minimum level of training to be considered "certified" in the McKenzie Method (Cert.MDT). The exam consists of multi-level testing with written and performance components designed to assess the clinical knowledge and skills developed by the practitioner throughout the course curriculum.
Eligibility requirements:
- Completion of Parts A-D
- Licensed or Registered practitioner
- Two years clinical experience
The seven major components of the Clinical Competencies are:
- History
- Examination
- Conclusion
- Principle of Treatment
- Reassessment
- Prophylaxis
- Practitioner Procedures
In preparation for the exam, you might consider:
- Reading the McKenzie textbooks and reviewing your course manuals and notes
- Auditing a course (A-D) for 50% of course tuition
- Attending the Clinical Skills Update (CSU) course
- Taking the online McKenzie Case Manager - a great review of
clinical reasoning as
you work through the
assessment and diagnostic
process for eight cases.
