What to Expect

Part A is comprised of five modules and Part B has four modules that are an interactive blend of visuals, audio, and video and the sections of the course manual covering the modules will be provided to you in advance for direct reference as you complete the online work. The entire course manual will be provided to you at the live course.

Both courses have testing components designed to ensure that all participants have achieved the learning objectives before attending the live course and as a necessity for CEU approvals, comprised of the following:

  • When you enter the online component, select the "MATERIALS" tab and download the course outline, the course manual sections and the Case Study. The entire course manual will be provided to you at the live course.

  • At the beginning of the course, you will take a baseline knowledge assessment that will provide a grade; however, that grade will not count for or against your final score.
  • After each module, you will take a short quiz. These are not graded; however, you will be provided feedback on incorrect answers to allow you to immediately go back and review.

  • At the conclusion of both the Part A and B online components, you must take a final test and receive a 75% grade to be allowed access into the respective live course.

  • These are considered open book testing. As you are completing the final test, you will be able to toggle back and forth between the test window and the course content window to review the modules. You will also have the sections of the course manual covering these modules in your possession to assist you.

  • You will be directed to a screen and also receive an immediate email verification of your final test score to confirm the status of your admittance to the three-day live course. When you pass the test, the screen will provide a link to a short online Evaluation form. Please take time to complete it.

  • Only those who pass the test will be listed on the official registration sign-in list. Those not listed will not be allowed entry into the course. There will be no exceptions onsite.

  • If you are not successful on the final test, you will be able to retake the test immediately and as many times as necessary to pass until the deadline of seven days before the live course start date.

Deadlines:

Register in advance to allow sufficient time to complete the online component test.

  1. Registrations will be accepted up to two weeks (14 days) before the live course start date.
  2. The final test must be passed seven (7) days before the live course start date for confirmed entry into the live course.

Guidelines and Tips!

  • You will be allowed access to the online component immediately upon receiving your registration confirmation letter in the mail.

  • We recommend you Login first and then select the link below to Proceed Directly to the online component.

  • Your access to these modules will continue from your registration until 14 days after the last day of your live course attendance.

  • Help, Resources and Materials Tabs are available within the online course to select at any time assistance might be needed. A new window will open to enable you to keep the course open.

  • You will proceed sequentially through each slide and cannot skip ahead in the presentation.

  • You can go back to previously completed slides or modules at any time.

  • It may be best to do the modules one at a time and refer to the specific module in the course manual at that time, or read through the relevant module in the manual immediately before or following the presentation.

  • To help you focus on key points, you will be required to complete a quiz for each module before moving onto the next module.

  • As you proceed through the online modules, write down any questions as they arise and bring them with you to give to your instructor at the start of the live course.

  • We encourage you to review the modules as often as needed before the live course so you are ready to apply the concepts to clinical scenarios during the three day live course.
