Documenting Patient Outcomes During Clinical Practice/MDT Research Project

In response to the articles in the MDT Bulletin (Vol. 2, No. 3) regarding the importance of patient outcome documentation, more than fifteen MDT clinicians expressed an interest in collecting outcomes to promote their business and/or participate in the scientific endeavors of the multi-clinic MDT research project. Five new clinics have already contracted with FOTO.

FOTO has created a MDT Outcomes Resource Center on its website. To access, go to http://www.fotoinc.com/mdt.htm. There you will find the original webinar that introduces outcomes, the MDT research project and a demonstration of FOTO's Patient Inquiry software. There are also two presentations, by Jon Weinberg and Mark Werneke, from FOTO's User Conference. Additional information will be added on an ongoing basis.

For those credentialed or Diploma MDT therapists who may be interested in joining the research efforts, please contact one of the following:

The McKenzie Institute is delighted to announce that The McKenzie Institute assessment forms are now accessible to users of APTA CONNECT.

Cedaron Medical and the American Physical Therapy Association teamed up to develop this powerful clinical documentation system and national outcomes database. The comprehensive clinical software solution, APTA CONNECT, is designed to meet the documentation needs of physical therapists.

By drawing data directly from the point-of-care documentation system, Cedaron also simultaneously creates a national outcomes database for APTA by pooling data from users all over the country. PTs will be able to customize the software to their individual workflow, document all components of patient care, and track outcomes. Users will also be able to schedule their patients and communicate directly with their billing systems without repeating any steps. With a few keystrokes, clinical managers will be able to produce management reports on patient care operations from their offices.

For more product information, visit Cedaron Medical, Inc. on the web: www.cedaron.com or contact Cedaron by email at cedaron@cedaron.com or call (800) 424-1007.
